This collection is the fruit of a meeting with a local tannery with two-hundred-year-old expertise in working leather, particularly for luxury leather goods. This tannery opened its doors in Nune to share its passion and its leather scraps in the hope that they would find a second life. These offcuts come from bull hides, cured by a slow vegetable tanning process, and worked to offer unfailing resistance. Recycled rawhide, a beautiful, eco-friendly material

For centuries, leather has been used to manufacture a wide range of objects: shoes, belts, necklaces, bags, pouches and other leather goods. Leather skin can be of bovine origin, such as cow or calf leather, but it can also be obtained from lamb skins or various species of fish.

Working with this material involves a variety of treatments, resulting in raw, colored, brushed, metallic, matte or velvety products. Tanning, which improves the strength and resistance of hides, can be carried out with tannins of mineral or vegetable origin. Vegetable tanning can be achieved with the tannins contained in the wood of certain tree species.
